HAGEN was founded in 1955 by Rolf C. Hagen as a one-man company in Montreal/Canada. The first subsidiary in Hamburg/Germany followed in 1959. At that time, the company in Germany still operated under the name "Weltweit Import & Export" (“Worldwide Import & Export”) – rightly so, as it turned out, since today's HAGEN Group includes 6 globally based subsidiaries operating in over 80 countries. With more than 65 years of experience, over 2,000 employees and a worldwide sales area of over 2,000,000 m2, we are one of the largest privately owned production and sales companies for pet supplies in the world.
