HomeLast year nearly 28,000 fair visitors and 1,326 exhibitors attended a very special 37th edition of Interzoo in Nuremberg as the trade show celebrated its long-awaited comeback as a physical exhibition. "Our expectations, as well as those of exhibitors and visitors, were completely exceeded," says Gordon Bonnet. The Managing Director of WZF – Service Company for the Pet Industry, organizer of Interzoo, regards the fact that so many industry participants came to Nuremberg despite the continuing uncertainty caused by the pandemic and the Ukraine war as a "vote of confidence" in Interzoo and WZF.
This is also confirmed by an exhibitor survey: For nine out of ten exhibitors, Interzoo is important or extremely important in the context of their overall marketing and sales activities. 95 percent were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall success, and more than 94 percent were able to achieve their specific trade fair objectives – a further increase compared to the previous Interzoo. The situation was similar among visitors: 98 percent were satisfied or very satisfied with the general range of products and services on offer and the information and contact opportunities provided.
Promoting innovative concepts and products
The Start-up Area, a specially designed area for innovative companies and new product ideas, and the Fresh Idea Stage were extremely well received by exhibitors. Accordingly, Interzoo 2024 will create and expand new presentation and networking opportunities. Another important step in this regard is the successful cooperation with WATT Global Media, the organizer of the Petfood Forum: At this year's edition of the Petfood Forum from May 1 – 3 in Kansas City, Interzoo will fort he first time be represented with the newly designed Interzoo Start-up Pavilion to support young companies in the pet food sector in their internationalization.
